Is Brandon Wheelbarger From Tuscarora High School Arrested?

As of this writing, no credible evidence supporting Brandon Wheelbarger’s arrest has been found on the internet. It’s unknown what sparked the reports about his detention in the first place.

However, some sources say Brandon Wheelbarger at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg was escorted from the school building on Friday and is a “person of interest” in a Leesburg Police Investigation, according to Major Vanessa Grigsby of the Leesburg Police Department.

Friday afternoon, Pamela Croft, principal at Tuscarora High School, emailed the school community notifying that Brandon Wheelbarger, an English teacher and head football coach at Tuscarora, has been placed on administrative leave effective June 3. She said it was unclear at this time the anticipated length of the leave.

Grigsby said the police department did not have enough to make an arrest and do not think an arrest will be made, however Grigsby said Wheelbarger was escorted from the building by the school’s administration as a precaution.

Brandon also congratulated his student on his accomplishments on his Twitter account on June 1st.

Conversely, based on his photo from that post, we do not really anticipate he has been detained or is now involved in any dispute.

Charges: What Did Brandon Wheelbarger Do?

“At this point our investigation is ongoing and there are no criminal charges,” she said.

LCPS officials did not have any further comment because it is a personnel matter.
