Who is Larry Hall?

A new true crime series called Black Bird follows convict Larry D. Hall’s confessions of the 1990s assault, murder, & kidnapping of several victims that he was guilty of in the Midwest.

The show, which features Taron Egerton as the convict James “Jimmy” Keene & Paul Walter Hauser as Hall, depicts Keene as he tries to obtain a confession from Hall regarding his alleged crimes by making friends with him.

Authorities also discovered altered images in his hands, along with newspaper cuttings on the cases of Tricia Reitler and Jessica Reitler, which did not assist his cause. He was therefore given a life sentence with no chance of release.

So Hall is currently detained at the Federal Correctional Institution Butner Medium II in North Carolina, where he will likely stay for the remainder of his life.

According to Black Bird, he made an unsuccessful suicide attempt after his failed appeal effort and has since admitted to numerous more murders before retracting them all.

Thus, today, at 59, Larry Hall is incarcerated at the all-male Federal Correctional Institution Butner Medium II in North Carolina, where he’s expected to remain for the rest of his natural life. According to ‘Black Bird,’ he attempted suicide following his failed appeal attempt but was unsuccessful, and he has since confessed to several more killings, only to recant them all again.

Hall will be behind bars, presumably for the rest of his life. He would be a threat to society for all the heinous crimes he has committed and should be behind bars for the rest of his natural life.
