Thursday, Watsonville police detectives caught a person who may have shot and killed a 19-year-old man.
The thing happened on Sudden Street early on Sunday morning.
Detectives from Watsonville worked all week and were able to figure out that a 15-year-old boy was involved in the shooting that killed someone.
Early on Thursday, police found the suspect in Waters Alley between Jefferson and Sudden streets, which is less than a block from where the murder happened early on Sunday morning. The suspect threw a gun as police tried to arrest him.
The suspect is a member of a local gang and is being charged with murder, having a gun, being a member of a gang, and breaking his probation. He has been sent to the Youth Center.
