A Noblesville woman, identified as Tammy J. Hunter, was arrested after leading Hamilton County deputies on a multi-county pursuit on Christmas Day. The incident began when deputies received a call about a suspicious vehicle near East 226th Street and Cyntheanne Road at an abandoned house.
Deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over by activating their lights, but the woman drove off. The pursuit lasted nearly 20 minutes, traveling through Madison and Tipton counties.
The chase ended when the woman drove into a field near 296th Street and County Road 100 East in the town of Atlanta, Indiana, and surrendered. No one was injured during the chase.
Hunter was arrested without further incident and brought into custody at the Hamilton County Jail where she was preliminarily charged with a level 6 felony for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving.
