The 82-year-old man Pual Pelosi, the husband of Hosue Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was arrested for DUI. He was appended and released on account of an alcohol count of 0.08 while driving.
According to TMZ, The House Speaker’s husband was arrested just before midnight in Napa County on two counts of DUI and driving with alcohol in the blood. He was put into jail hours later.
Paul is the founder and CEO of Financial Leasing Services, Inc., a real estate and venture capital investment and consultancy organization in San Francisco.
He was also the owner of the now-defunct United Football League’s Sacramento Mountain Lions.
he was arrested by members of California Highway Patrol at 11.44pm. He was booked in Napa County Jail at 4.13am on Sunday morning.
The two misdemeanor charges are driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher.
He is believed to have been released after posting $5,000 in bail.
Pelosi is a San Francisco native who grew up in the city. He is a member of many charity and corporate boards.
He graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in foreign service and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Since 2009, he has served as Georgetown’s Foreign Service Board chair.
