Sikh extremist group Brothers Keepers gangster and his friend are gunned down in broad daylight at Canada’s famed ski resort town Whistler.
The idyllic Whistler Mountain ski community was rocked on Sunday by the brazen daylight assassination of a notorious member of Canada’s Brothers Keepers Gang, a Sikh extremist crime family, and another man.
Meninder Dhaliwal, 29, was fatally shot with his friend, Satindera Gill, in front of the Sundial Hotel
A pair of gunmen fatally shot Meninder Dhaliwal, 29, whose family operates a $16 million a year drug and arms trafficking group, and his friend Satindera Gill, who apparently has no crime affiliation, outside the Sundial Hotel just after noon.
His brother, Meninder Dhaliwal, was also gunned down in Whistler yesterday. Authorities believe these killings are the result of lower mainland gang conflict.
Video of the gruesome aftermath shows Dhaliwal, wearing a white T-shirt and shorts and an over the shoulder satchel, face down in the hotel parking lot, in a pool of blood.
Who Was Harb Dhaliwal?
Before his death, Harb was shot twice: once in Abbotsford in October 2017 and once in Richmond in December 2018.
The 31-year-old was with his two brothers and several friends when he was shot on the popular waterfront area. As his brother was dead on the sidewalk, a devastated Barinder yelled out Harb’s name. It took six police officers to restrain him.
The Dhaliwal family has a farm near the border in Abbotsford, where they were raised. They didn’t always belong to the BK that supported the Hells Angels.
Death In Whistler Village Shooting And Brothers Keepers Gang Member
Meninder Dhaliwal was with Satinder Gill when they were shot outside the Sundial Hotel in Whistler, a Canadian town adjacent to Vancouver. According to the Canadian Police, Gill was not a gang member.
Dhaliwal passed away there and then, while Gill was pronounced dead at the neighborhood hospital. On Sunday, the lockdown was imposed at the well-known Whistler ski resort south of Vancouver, Canada, to avoid further risks after the shooting.
A special investigation team, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), is working continuously to uncover the people involved in the homicide. According to IHIT, it is thought that this was a targeted shooting connected to the ongoing Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
The Sea-to-Sky Whistler RCMP responded to many complaints about two men being shot at the Sundial Boutique Hotel in Whistler’s 4300-block of Sundial Crescent on July 24 at around noon.
What Happened To The Dhaliwal Brothers?
Francois Gauthier, the alleged hitman, entered a plea guilty to second-degree murder last month and was given a life sentence with no chance of parole for 20 years. In November 2020, Meninder was allegedly caught with a gun close to the Hardside Hells Angels chapter’s clubhouse in Surrey but was never charged.
The 2nd person killed today at Whistler with Meninder Dhaliwal was his friend Sat Gill, who was not involved in the gang. Dhaliwal died on the spot while Gill passed away later. Gill was working as a concrete truck operator and was in Whistler to celebrate his birthday. pic.twitter.com/MEnBrMXcrY

The community around Whistler Mountain, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, was temporarily locked down by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as two dozen law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene to investigate.
Two men were arrested late Sunday by the RCMP Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, police said. They were not identified, but police said that the double murder was part of a protracted Lower Mainland gang conflict between Brothers Keeper and another crime group called United Nations.
Investigators are searching for dashcam footage and eyewitnesses close to the crime scene. Any associates of Mr. Gill or Mr. Dhaliwal are requested to come forward by the investigators to find the missing pieces of this homicide.
Initially, the local RCMP reported that only two individuals had been detained. However, beyond a few, the police could not comment on the precise number of arrests.
Over the past few years, the United Nations gang and certain Red Scorpions have been engaged in a violent war with the Brother’s Keepers. One group’s members and associates are frequently killed, and then days or weeks later, someone will strike back.
Indo-Canadian crime rings are the third largest gang organizations in Canada, behind biker gangs and Vietnamese triads, according to police. Sikh-Canadians started trafficking in guns and drugs in the 1980s to fund a revolutionary movement to have the Punjab region of India break off from the rest of the country.
In June 1984, Prime Minister Indira Ghandi ordered the army to raid the Golden Temple and some other of the most sacred temples in the Sikh religion, spurring the separatist movement in Sikh communities around the globe.
