Hampton Missing Kid: Codi Bigsby Case Update, Age & Parents Explored

It has been almost two months since father Cory reported that Codi Bigsby went missing. The spokesperson for Hampton Police stated that there is no update on the case yet.

Codi Bigsby’s father said he last saw his son around 2 a.m. in their home. When he woke up around 9, the child was gone.

Codi’s father, Cory Bigsby, called 911 on Jan. 31 to say the boy wasn’t in their apartment. A massive search effort including federal and state investigators ensued, but so far has not led to Codi.

But it did lead to seven counts of felony child neglect against Cory Bigsby. Police say he left his four children — all aged five or younger — home alone on multiple occasions. He’s the only person of interest in Codi’s disappearance.

“The evidence that we have does not completely match the stories that we have received at this point,” Hampton Police Chief Mark Talbot said at a news conference.

But Talbot also says there’s no evidence Codi was abducted.

Neighbors say they hardly saw Codi or his siblings outside and never saw an adult around.

Police are asking for the public’s help to determine when the four-year-old was last seen by anyone outside his family.

On the other hand, the communities have still not lost their hope and are still looking for the young boy. Amid his disappearance, Cory Bigsby faced seven counts of felony child neglect not directly related to Codi’s disappearance.

The communities are still meeting to look for Codi whereas Bell for the first time said Codi is “still missing but presumed to be deceased.”

Codi Bigsby is just a 4-years old young child. People are worried about him as the child has been reported missing for two months now.

Meanwhile, a Facebook group with 25K followers has yet not given up to look for him. The group named “Codi Bigsby- Missing from Hampton, Va.” is dedicated to the missing child.

The page’s co-creator Karena Thomas stated that they are invested to keep his name alive. They are still posting his pictures online with the hope of finding him alive.

The young boy Cody Bigsby has been missing for two months now. Meanwhile, one of his parents, his father Cory is the main person of interest in the case.

Authorities think the child’s father himself is the main person of interest in the disappearance of his son, Codi. As per the reports, the police questioned Cory for 76 total hours.

On the other hand, his mother is praying for the safety of her child. Though initially both of his parents were the main interest of people, they have cleared out his mom.

She is actively participating in the search for his baby boy with the hope of finding him alive. However, the good news about the 4-years old has yet to come.

The chief is not raising hopes about how this case is progressing.

“The evidence about what likely occurred has been very clear,” Talbot said. “There is little about this that has been mysterious.”

But there are questions about how police have handled this investigation and whether it could impact the case. Cory Bigsby’s attorney, Jeffrey Ambrose, says his client asked for a lawyer partway through his interrogation, but the questioning continued without one.

Talbot admits it was “mishandled.”

“My assessment is that his desires should have been honored,” he said at a news briefing. A different detective has now replaced the former lead investigator on the case.

Cory Bigsby is currently behind bars on the child neglect charges while prosecutors and his attorney examine evidence in that case.

Ambrose says his client had nothing to do with his son’s disappearance and is “very worried about Codi’s whereabouts.”
