Kevin James McLean, a Dripping Springs (ISD) Middle School teacher, was arrested on May 5, 2022, after inappropriate interaction with students.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the communications on April 27. Investigators learned that McLean sent inappropriate images to juveniles through Snapchat, a press release from the sheriff’s office said. It is unknown how many students McLean sent images to.
McLean also provided vaping devices with nicotine and THC — the active ingredient of cannabis — to students, according to the sheriff’s office.
McLean was immediately placed on leave and his access to the campus was removed, Dripping Springs ISD said. He resigned after the investigation began.

He was subsequently assigned to the teacher and coach track at DSMS.
He was placed on leave on April 27, 2022, and his access to all campuses and students was immediately terminated due to reported unlawful social media posts.
