Police Confirm 78-year-old Man shot amid daytime gunfire in Southwest Baltimore

A 78-year-old man was shot amid daytime gunfire in Southwest Baltimore. The incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon, with the victim seeking medical attention at an area hospital following the shooting.

Police say at approximately 2:50 p.m., Southwest District patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment.

Once at the hospital, officers located a 78-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the right leg. The victim is listed in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was on Booth Street in the 2200 block when he was shot after hearing gunfire. The victim received a ride to the hospital.
