A Fort Worth woman has been accused of abusing a corpse, by throwing the ashes of her then-boyfriend’s mother into Lake Worth two years ago.
Augustine Gladney aged 38 years was arrested on Wednesday for abusing her boyfriend’s mother’s ashes.
She disposed of his mother’s ashes in Lake Worth after he cheated on her.

Reports say Augustine Gladney could face up to a year in prison for the crime.
Fort Worth police say a man contacted them in 2020 saying when he returned to their home he found his mother’s urn was gone. He said he had received a text from Gladney admitting what she had done.
Police have advised him to save all texts from Gladney as potential evidence.
In her defense, she stated that he had cheated on her, so in retaliation, she spilled his mother’s ashes into the river.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the suspect, Gladney, 40, dropped the ashes of Ernest Smith’s mother, 38, into the lake on Monday evening.
Smith informed authorities that she overheard a phone call between Gladney and her daughter, who was at her house at the time. According to authorities, Gladney told her daughter over the phone that she had thrown the urn into the lake.
Smith alleged that Gladney texted him to acknowledge that she had dumped his mother’s ashes in the lake. Gladney was charged with mistreatment of a body on Wednesday, according to authorities.
Smith told deputies that he couldn’t reach Gladney until around midnight Monday night and came to know about her only after Gladney texted him.
She is a medical office assistant at The College of Health Care Professions.

The footage of her dumping the ashes into the lake has gone popular on social media, and many are shocked to see such disturbing behavior.
This is incredibly nasty and uncalled for, but what’s even weirder is that whoever videotaped it didn’t even try to stop her, according to some netizens.
