Dateline: Who Was Annie Hester From Gresham Oregon? Age Revealed
Annastasia ‘Annie’ Hester was an Oregon native born in 1981. At the time of her death, Annie was at the age of 36 years old.
To most, she was an ordinary woman who stayed out of trouble, but she made headlines in 2016 after she called 911 to report that she had been attacked in her apartment.
“Someone tried to kill me … [unintelligible] started stabbing me,” Hester was heard saying during the call that was later obtained by Oxygen.
Annie and her husband Matthew married in July 2008 and welcomed Alice in November 2011. The marriage, however, soon fell apart after Matthew had an affair just weeks after Alice was born.
It was stated that the pair tried an open marriage, but according to a friend, Ann discovered that Matt had cheated on her at least once, breaking the boundaries they had established, and she began talking about divorce.

Who killed Annastasia Hester?
Following Hester’s death, a police investigation was opened, which lasted for more than a year.
It was not until 2017 that police arrested Angela McCraw-Hester in connection with her death.
McCraw-Hester is the wife of Matthew Hester, Annastasia’s ex-husband and the father of her daughter.
At the time, Hester and her ex-husband were reportedly in the middle of a custody battle after he claimed that she was an unfit mother, Oxygen reports.
Annastasia had previously been given full custody of their daughter amid the divorce and worked a full-time job to support her daughter.
At the same time, Matthew and his new wife survived on government assistance, Oxygen notes.
Despite suspicion from the police, McCraw-Hester was not arrested until October 2017.
At the time, she was charged with aggravated murder and first-degree burglary after her DNA was identified at the crime scene, according to The Oregonian.
Police were also able to match a bloody boot print to a pair of shoes McCraw-Hester had purchased in 2015, Oxygen notes.
After McCraw-Hester was arrested, she was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
Hester’s ex-husband was also arrested in June 2019 and later pleaded guilty in July 2021 to solicitation to commit murder and hindering prosecution, according to The Cinemaholic.
He was then sentenced to 56 months in prison and will be eligible for release in March 2023.
Annie Hester Daughter Alice And Husband Now
Matthew Hester, Annie Hester’s spouse, is a convicted solicitor who is presently doing time in jail. Alice, who was only approximately 4-years-old at the time of Annie’s death and Matthew’s participation in the case, was left without her parents.
In addition, Alice has been cared for by Annie’s mother, Elizabeth Holmes, since Matthew’s incarceration. She’d be almost ten years old now, and her maternal side of the family has wisely kept her out of the spotlight. Pocatello, Idaho is where Alice was last seen.
